Today, I will just raise a question.
Why is Srimati Pratibha Patil so inactive compared to Kalamji?

When he was the President, every single day, he motivated students, contributed to India in science, politics, peace, and what not! Parents pointed at him and told kids "Be like him one day. Aspire!"
His words about dreaming and achieving still ring in all hearts. I started scourging papers cos he appeared in it often and motivated me.

Every single day, you got a news about him, sensible and encouraging and motivating. I used to love the way he carried himself. If you ask me, he should have been given another chance at the office. :)

I seldom see Smt. Pratibha in the news, at least, apart from the 'diplomatic visits' she makes to foreign countries.

President has to be active and conspicuous. Rather than appear only when it is very unavoidable.
I don't care if it is a lady or man, just put forward models for the young generation. Ask respect from the middle aged. And comradeship from the old [considering the average age of our presidents] . We call you our first citizen. First and best. First woman president, should not she leave her own marks of excellence in the history? Should not the title be lived up to?

I am just saying, she could be better at this.
Just take care ji. And all the best.
Jai Hind!
Durga Nandan, a citizen.

I think, it is devotion and dedication towards his work, unfettered determination that led him from a poor family to president of India.. A great contribution for India in Defence in his career as a scientist of DRDO.Which itself proves his words of dreaming and acheiving... His action speaks more than his words. His simplicity, his spiritual attitude has an aura of charm that can attract millions....

What does Pratibha Patil have...Nothing except a designation of president....

Really, I feel proud that I am going to work in same organisation( DRDO), where he has worked....... :)

Generally I would not like to comment on the highest office in the country, but I yes,the present President is not so much into public eye. There must be reasons for that which can not be discussed .

@ Amit : That is a proud moment obviously. :)
But dont be too harsh on this.. You could even be locked up for saying something against the first citizen.. Hehe.. :)
But we know, no harm meant. :)

Chowlaji : Yes, she may have reasons.. But the difference is so obvious, you cant miss it. Cant ignore it. :(

Anyways,
Cheerz!

yes
this is true that PP is unable to do us what APJ tried....
but tell me....what does the president ought to do and more importantly what the President 'can' do in the largest democracy of the world..perhaps besides giving awards and attending high profile parties....the president is just for showcasing purpose i think...

@ RSV : Kalam was not an 'idle' president.. :)
Ms. Patil seems to be.
Yes, Presidency in India is more of name than power. Still, we expect some amount of life in it.. Right? :)

It's OK for a Prez to be calm, composed, quiet, under-stated & dignified - So long as he/she is not a Rubber Stamp, and so long as he/she is not concentrating on furthering the careers (especially political careers) of their kith and kin!!
