You Pro America?

I have always been known to hold a grudge against the US or North America in general.
Why? Is a question I have faced for a long time. Apart from the war tactics and politics they use, [I dont blame the minority public there, but those that elect George-Bush-like presidents, have to share the blame.] there are certain ways they experiment with human lives. Some are public, some are not.

Those in the past are public. Almost all. Three decades ago, a fiasco was born. From the CIA. The undercover agents of US. Almost all their work includes ethics-less and lesser than human deeds. And they are not held responsible for any of the methods they adopt.
Coming back to the fiasco, they used the mental patients in Montreal's Allen Memorial Institute to experiment on human brainwashing techniques!!! CIA needed this to control brains during the Cold War with the USSR. Or so they said.

The patients were taken into a dark room, called the Sleep Room, and subjected to all sorts of experiments and tortures. Yes, they dont give a damn on what their own citizens go through. Who cares about the world!!
The doctors were sponsored by the CIA and money flowed like hell.
The patients who were only a bit abnormal ended up being schizophrenic after the so called "tests".
Many lost their lives cos they could not remember their names, their husbands or own children. They were injected with drugs, given electric shocks, put in hypnotic comas for long, just to destroy their memories.

Ewen Cameron, a psychiatrist, who decided he had the power to change people and make them "better" was the 'doctor' behind all this. And after the CIA abandoned him, the Canadian Govt funded him.
To this day, both the CIA or the Canadian govt, has not admitted that they have tweaked the memories of people. Though more than 150 people are living in the asylums waiting for an apology and cure, as living proofs.

They test out far advanced tortures than physical tortures, this CIA. Tapes, with irritable muZic and painful and violent memories are constantly fed into the headphones of the intended and all they have to do is, sit back and wait for the mind to crack. With narcotics induced crime confession however, only the thing you dont want to say and pressurises your mind at that moment, comes out. Whereas, this method cracks the whole mind up. And once, the balance is lost, there is no going back. NO GOING BACK!
The patient records were destroyed the moment the fiasco was out.

Ewen came to realize his methods dont work in 1964, by which the time had flown by with mental peace of lots of families, and resigned from the hospital.
The patients who later went to court for apologies and to bring the CIA to books, settled with money outside the court. Who knows they might have been threatened as well.

If they can do that to their own countrymen, they can do worse with us. You , me and us.
Now, how, is not a big question. They have "movies-come-true" technologies.
I will talk about the methods, may be in another of those posts.. But rest assured, the psychological warfare they can unleash, will damn the rest of us. And it is the most advanced form of torture and coercion.
No govt is safe, no country is. I cant imagine what they would do to others, if they can do this to their fellows.

External Links : The movie based on the patients' lives in the asylum.

An article link, by a press person, that seems to be tampered with.

One wordpress article that has survived.

Another important link.

A tape script of a victim interview.

Are you still pro America? :)

I have also heard about their harsh interrogation and some new ghastly inhuman techniques like waterbording, in which criminals are given a sensation of drowning which often leads to permanant failure of their lungs.......
Very Nice post...)
Cheers!!

"HISTORY IS ALWAYS WRITTEN BY WINNERS"

So these so-called super powers of the world can do whatever they want & get away with it....

If we defend our borders the US government pokes their nose whereas they can invade whatever country they want...

We have a sovereign right to defend our country but whereas they invade countries out of vested interests

Sorry, but I for one cannot agree to the broad idea

I am not Pro-US or anti-US. But -

1. In the matter of Nations, there is no morality, enemies or frnds. Only the interest of the nation matters. It is wrong to single out US for attrocities as described by you. Do you think USSR didn't do such things. Or China? And to top it all, we are from a Country where people were once forcibly sterilized in the name of Population Control

2. Waterboarding - That was used only against terrorists.. nd I for one believe that they deserve it.. Nd waterboarding was successful in getting information that prevented some terrorist attacks... Meanwhile Ajmal Kasab is having dinner here - Chicken Biriyani :)

3. And there only federal agencies commit attrocities. Here even state police tortures nd kills innocents. Remember how many prison deaths were reportd in the last 2-3 years in Kerala!

4. Tirade against Bush - Everyone admits attacking iraq was wrong. But it was his strong leadership that enabled US to combat Al-Qaeda and to avenge 911 by attackign Afg. And we here cry for the arrest of some old ppl in Pakistan while our warplanes rust nd special forces sit idle

5. Its easy to cry wolf against US. But it was a US company that provided me employment and paid me a very gud salary. They took me based on my merit not on my caste. They didnt care when I came to my ofice or wen i left. They didnt ask me to wear a tie. They didnt want to call their superiors as 'Sir'. Whatever you say, they are a free Nation that welcomes all peaceful ideas.

Sorry Jo, this grew so long that I doubt this is longer than the parent blog :(

@ Arun : 1.I didnt single out US. Nevertheless, they do it. :)

2. Water boarding is inhuman. Wherever it is done.
Ajmal Kasab, dammit should have been hanged by now. I know India is too lenient in these matters.

3. :) Federal or not, it is done. And btw, the reach of their federal agencies, is more than even our local police.

4. Bush aint the best leader America could have had. I am sure almost all what was done was planned in other offices and just approved by Bush. He is not the intellect behind it.
If India started off a war here now, it can result in another world war. You really want that? I dont want to be a world war victim. Sorry.

5. About the employment and unbiased approach, they have racism prevailing still in their country. They are not fully unbiased.
Just cos where you worked, you didnt have much of a mix of other races, you might have been saved. :)

And dont call America peaceful. :) They stab behind you for selfish motives. They dont show their face and fight in most of the disputes. They disrupt the world peace for their benefit.

Well, I somehow will never be assured of the "goodness" of American methods and politics. I am sorry. I understand there are good people in there, but they can never compensate the atrocities. At least not in my eyes.

Long comments are always welcome. :) It makes me think.
Thanks for commenting.
