Crisis

Today morning, amma, appa, me and sis were having a chat over coffee.
And it turned to our futures.

Amma : Soon, you will be married off.
Me : A bad topic.
Sis : You really should get married soon.
Me : Yeah, you are next in line, so the hurry. Right?
Sis : Nah, It will take another five years after yours.
Me : Then?
Sis : The sooner you are out, the longer they [pointing dad and mom] will get, to get over the financial crisis cos of the amount they have to finally pay so that someone would agree to marry you. *tongue out*
Me : Cross. *tongue out*
Appa and Amma : Laughing their heads off. :-|

After two secs of a cross face, when I could control myself no more, I joined the laugh. :P

i often wonder why a girl's marrige leads to financial crisis for parents? whereas this is not the case with Boy's marriage/

It aint anywhere related to money or dowry. They were just pullin my legs.. :)
And my parents would have said the same be it a guy or gal. :)
I have had all the resp and duties of a boy child, may be more than a boy, always :)

I dont see much of selfless love around in the world. A mother's love is said to be the best form of love for humans. Even that is cos, the baby is hers. It is her own self or a part of her she loves.. :) The fact that an adopted child is not loved as much by a mother proves my point.

Love Thyself. :)

The bestest thing about being me is that I am unique. No other me in the whole goddam world. Know how beautiful it feels? :) To be me? I love being myself, with all the flaws and goodness in me. Once, I remember telling a friend of mine when asked how I could love people so much, "You love yourself first. Then you start seeing yourself in others. And then you love others as much." Corollary, "If you can't love yourself, you cant love others." [Same as what Jesus advised. ' Love others as you love yourself. '] And trust me, when I love the way I am, it is easier for me to love others. Including their imperfections. And anyways, it is their imperfections that complete them. :) Take care guys..
